With this chapter, I concluded my 2023 contest novel Secret Indie Band.
Thank you all for going on this 3-month long musical adventure with me!
Your likes and comments mean a lot to me, I couldn't be more grateful.
I uploaded a total of 17 chapters, good for a total of about 27k words.
I spend ~82 hours on writing, editing and uploading this novel, that means about 330 words an hour.
We've had a total of 3 covers, the blue one, the chibi one and then finally the current one featuring Ishihara-san playing her iconic red guitar.
The novel covers two arcs, which I dubbed the business card and single arc, taking roughly 8 chapters both.
Some unnecessary random stats:
-During this novel, Akane has broken a total of 45 strings, with which you can string a total of 7,5 guitars.
-During this novel, Chifumi has eaten a total of 3,3 kg of sweets, which equals 2 3/2 teeth cavities.
-During this novel, Haruka has spilled a total of 17 drops of tea, which is only a small amount of tea.
-During this novel, Kazuki has arranged at total of 0 dates with Kitamura-san, which is 1 less date than Masaki.
(I couldn't find a way to add Kazuki to the last few chapters, but he wants me to tell you that he's doing fine and will keep pursuing Kitamura-san no matter what)
I hope I succeeded at making novel with two proactive characters which musical journeys got intertwined.
Neither Akane or Masaki really needed the other to succeeded, but them opening up to eachother still helped them realized their goals.
And in the end, their shared ambition was able to bond them together, a let them become more than just business partners.
