A bit of both. The stall owner was meant to drop the reader in to how she sees the world while also giving hints to her state of mind. Not sure how well I managed to portray that in a first draft, but hopefully the idea got across.

As for imagining the scene, I would say no since I tried to write the story without thinking of any visual details, at least during the protagonist's parts. The orange and lemon mix up came about when I had a bit of time to experiment and felt that I could easily mix up the two if someone handed me them blind in a specific orientation. A lot of the visual details in the A and B side were thought up after the protagonist's side was completed to help capture the essence as much as I could.

Keep Your Eyes Wide Open

You hit the nail right on the head. It is definitely a more flippant description though, and lore-wise, there are already other people long before these two came about. However, that's relegated to a different storyline.

If you're curious about the other stories that take place during the same time, the Mixing Market happens between Chapters 1 and 2, and Heart of Blood occurs tangentially in the world beyond the Mixing Point during the same era.

Yep yep. Or at least, that's what they think. After all, they've never met people yet. Well, in this part of their life.

For clarity, the gift list was referring to the queen listing what the assassins attacked her with, as she called them all gifts.

The World Jester

It probably doesn't, but this ended up being the story I wanted to write. Honestly, when I read "real world," my mind just went to what the main character considers the "real world" rather than our world, though that could've been because I've been on a different real worlds binge in isekai.

Either way, I'm having fun, and definitely not tired, writing a chapter after work every day. I do enjoy the themes HF provides, though I wish they would let me use the world I'm already building up across the other stories.

Yep yep, though this time within the bounds of plausibility... probably.

Until the Clock Winds Down

Tbh, didn't think about that at all since what they were doing was outlined before the MC was added in. Though, the original draft had the MC and Ai playing card games for the entire night.

I just hope someone invents a mana-efficient dishwasher in this universe soon :p

Tbh, I completely forgot that was a cliche. My brain was just like 'tolerances!' and so it came to be.

I hope you don't mind, but that's such a great line that I'm going to borrow it.

Chaos! At the Halloween Festival

Chapter:14

To:Lucid Levia

In the original 'choose your own adventure' that I wrote this for, the Crimson Devastation was basically a person so obsessed with research that she basically didn't care about anything else, which was why she didn't bother with clothes. The only reason she put on the lab coat was that the slightly chilled wind from being so high was a bit too distracting.

Yep, I just thought of it as a visualization issue since people heavily rely on their eyes.

I tried to think of the most Western thing that could be considered chunibyo, and that instantly came to my mind.

And yeah, the multiple quotations means multiple people are saying it, one per person with a max of four for a group. That's how I learned to express it anyway. No idea if there's a better way.
