Going to great lengths to end up with a genuine excuse to swing by the doctor's 😅

It might have been a tight shot, but timing the explosives to coincide with terminating the further watchtower guard might have done the trick 🤔

Hehe; eager for the crossing of paths? Hikari's operations are still *almost* completely unrelated to Renka and Kasumi's (there is a connecting factor, but all will be revealed in time...) 😉

I would like to claim autocomplete was to blame, but I think that one was all me (._. )' I knew something would have escaped; I thought I could manually proofread ~185k words of text. Alas, no 😅 Thank you for pointing it out; it has now been rectified :)

In the original manuscript and Docs format, this chapter ran beyond 10k words, thus ending up ~12k characters over Honeyfeed's limit, so I had to pick a scene end to split the chapter from ':/ (it was a very busy day in the characters' world and for the sake of my sanity, for the most part, main chapters cover a particular day's events 🗓️)

Once more I shall opt for silence concerning the happenings between the captain and her new friend(?) 🤐🤭

So is not to spoil things, I shall remain fairly tight-lipped 😇

I'm glad you enjoyed it this chapter :3 If I'm totally honest, these rare few slower-paced chapters were some of my favourites to write. Focusing more on scenery, nature, more ordinary occurrences and of course, the relationships is pretty therapeutic and pleasantly restorative compared to the action (and later on, drama) sequences :)

The relationship between these two burns pretty slowly, hopefully when the reasons why do reveal themselves, you'll find them respectable 🤞🏼

I think the steep hill may have been a factor (I have friends who refuse to visit me because I live atop a tall hill, which requires a somewhat challenging walk from the train station) 😅 Now that you mention it; it could be a nice getaway location to revisit in the side series... 🤔

Call me crazy, but the philosophy I adopted was to avoid having too much pronoun repetition in passages 😅 (I may have also been inspired by "The Executioner And Her Way Of Life" and its writing style a bit).

I totally get where you're coming from though; I think there are some instances in latter phases/ acts where I got lazy and wrote conventionally, leaning more on names and pronouns...

Mercifully, the next main chapter is a bit calmer :)

Yeah; I decided that I didn't want to pepper the entire story with world lore, so it's mostly contained in two chapters. I gambled on using the comedic layer to hopefully make the chapters memorable and a waypoint if anybody seeks a revisit (the events play a role throughout the story and the side series as well 🙃).

I could definitely see myself stuck in an endless revising cycle, which probably wouldn't even be guaranteed to improve the written content anyway 😅

I'm still working on a few illustrations, but the main ones (supporting what's been uploaded in webnovel format) are there :)

Not sure if I've broken a rule or not, but a QR code has been added to the gallery, to help get visitors to the book format version :)

There's some pretty slick writing in this chapter and I'm loving the abundance of imagery featuring natural phenomena that's been included <3

I feel like there are a lot of unanswered questions left up in the air come the ending, but aside from that, it's been a pretty fun and enjoyable ride :3

Reconnecting with a seemingly unreachable ancestor is a pretty good new goal to have introduced and I'm looking forward to seeing how the Ancestry Hall and its technology factor into Iris' fate, especially given the fact that she's still being hunted by multiple entities 😕

The significance of plant life in the world that you've created is beautifully portrayed in this chapter. How the Blumen reacted to the tea was interesting; I'm looking forward to seeing more of their relationships with plants that we generally consider not to be sentient...

I'm enjoying the nomadic collective that's been introduced; their willingness to help Iris reminds me of how the nomads help V in Cyberpunk 2077 :)
