Lol. I'm not sure if you're familiar with the video game Crusader Kings 3, but the chapter title reminded me of it because there is an option in game to host a red wedding where you essentially stage a marriage to massacre all your political enemies. kind of like this chapter.๐
Those crystal monsters seem like they're unstoppable.

I really appreciate the feedback, sinnocence. ๐ The plot will hopefully pick up a bit more in regards to character development and world building after this first arc. I will admit, I think both yours and Bubble's takes are completely spot on. To be perfectly honest, I've been completely making it up as I go, which I think wasn't the best idea. Personally I've felt the story is a bit half baked so far. Hopefully I can turn that around, but we'll see. ๐
