I'm an amateur writer for about 30 years, but I took it more seriously in the last 15 years. I write anime and light novel inspired stories. Shift is my primary story, but I do have others both completed and in progress. If there is a desire to see them as well let me know and I can work on it.

Finally a little bit of clarity of what they're doing out on the far edge of the solar system. But finding an anomaly in the background radiation is still really vague. I'd be curious to know was so special about what they found.

The confusion of emotions for the android still brings up a lot of questions for me. Because you've implied there's a culture. So androids exist beyond just a function, implying a life comparable to that of humans. Though they are clearly manufactured still. Which does bring up questions of when, why and what necessitates the creation of a new android. And having culture would mean a society and life that's existed significantly long enough to develop and persist. And yet she still completely clueless to emotions, where I'd imagine there'd be some infrastructure to support androids and adapting them to emotions at a fundamental level, which she's lacking. Because at this point even Eva understands, if not for a while.

I think wingman strikes again and science or reality interrupts. Though I did have to wonder does she as an android generate and maintain a heat? It's not clear how organic or realistic the androids are in function. And being out in the Pluto range it does mean that they would have a lot of heads up on solar flares, though I think even with today science we have a lot of advanced notice. So I don't think it would be so drop everything and go and it'd be a scheduled event.

Yeah, it is a good full circle moment. She understands why people acted the way that they did. She had a more pure viewpoint, but one that doesn't necessarily mean everyone can accept as well as she can. She's comfortable in withholding truth if it would only cause pain.

That is a valid thought. What the people got out of Ministra gave them stability and reason. It allowed them to develop and grow, even if they clear did stumble. As the region was shown to have the same flaws we have in being prone to violence, war and extremism. But what she did for them was real.

There's a lot of despair and depression in the story, zealotry and fear, so I wanted to show a more positive and healthy approach. One that nicely fits after she's come off of being broken. They can mend her in a way that she needs.

I moved around events from the original plan. I felt that this beat was important to come after her learning the truth. Even if it was all fake, she did have a moment to breath, which she needed. And more importantly, she needed to reflect and break. If you saw, there was a subtle change I made in how she talks about Ministra that shows what's she's going through mentally. But now that a clean break happened, she can rebuild.

A very messy answer. This mini story I debated on how direct I wanted to be with what was happening in the town. Because I wondered if it would lose some of the impact and weight of the events if I just spelled everything. So I keep things a little more implied. There isn't an answer that I spell out, but there's another context to explain what the town's answer was and it was a dark one.

Most places to have a temple, so it'd be pretty safe to assume if adherence was followed they heard the prophecy. But that is assuming. They could have withheld information. Cathlin certainly did.

It does provide a positive moment to breath and take a calm relaxing moment. She's been constantly on the move. So any sort of just break is needed. She's burning herself at both ends.
