I'm an amateur writer for about 30 years, but I took it more seriously in the last 15 years. I write anime and light novel inspired stories. Shift is my primary story, but I do have others both completed and in progress. If there is a desire to see them as well let me know and I can work on it.

It was less that it created inner conflict. It's more that he processed her death very poorly. After both his parents died, it was more than he could take and he retreated internally. And he came out reformed around a reinterpretation of what his mother said to not be a violent person. So it is a case of he created a new persona from his shattered mind. The present Yuki doesn't really have a conflict because he forgot it basically.

Well you have to remember this version of Yuki is the delinquent one from a year ago before he changed. So violence is sort of his first answer. He lost his father 4 years ago and got violent seeking fights as a result and then a year ago his mother is ill. As a child he's seeing his problem making as not helping his mother. Adding more stress to a life that doesn't need more.

Yeah not all family are ones made by blood. There is some irony her saying that as you'll learn. But she is very desperate to get Yuki to agree to something that he's generally refused or been hesitant to do so. Though saying they're not family not the best move.

Yeah, admittedly she isn't trying to be his therapist or his friend. Which is the biggest problem. She's a little too focused on her goals that she can't really see what Yuki needs. Which only makes things worse.

She certainly could if she wished. Bleach was my primary inspiration on a lot, so there is a fair number of Bleach references within. Yeah we got to tease Yuki all the way, he jokes around half the time so he can take it.

Ayumi is probably far too blunt for these situations. She's good at certain things, but she really hasn't figured out Yuki and keeps making mistakes with him. Which is funny because her character normally would be able to have him figured out, but he's got layers of walls around his emotions and things. There's contradictions and riddles going down through Yuki making him hard to pinpoint for her.

It is why he's got Saki, when she's not doing a comedy routine with him, she's supportive as well as his other friends. But Saki's the only really has Yuki figured out mostly and even she doesn't understand all of him.

Phoibe is my Urahara insert, so yeah she's very strong, though without more story you won't really have a good context for how strong she actually is. But yeah being on the run in Atlantis wasn't good, but now she's hiding out a branded exile in Japan.

But Yuki's the main character everything is about him. Isn't it?

Well they were all having different fantasies. Saki knew that Yuki was having light novel fantasies, which she assumed wasn't what the business offered. And Hiroshi and his friends saw the attendants and had boy fantasies, which Saki could clearly read. So she was striking out to stop that.
