(My first comment got accidentally deleted, so let me see if I can piece back together my thoughts lol)
The toxic aspects brought up was more of Vanessa's ignorence, much like when Yuri told her that Thorium reactors don't blow up. It was mainly me trying to think what the average person would be thinking about when put in those dangerous situations without much prior knowledge. So you’re completely correct that it's only real hazard is asphyxiation.
And as for why I picked Ar over N2, I've seen both used in fire suppression systems before (N2 more commenly like you mentioned) but the choice boiled down to which one sounded more cool/hazardous. Fewer people likely know Ar simply based on its abundance and usage when compared to N2, so assumedly they're more likely to be cautious of it by nature. There's more nuances to the choice I suppose, but I'm certainly not qualified to fully understand or explain them.
