I really really enjoyed this.
It was so nice to read another story that was outside of the typical thing you would expect for a contest like this.
I really enjoyed reading stories that contain an element of personal growth to them. I also enjoyed the fact that the story had a clear arc so that even though it was short, you could understand the journey the main character went on.
It did have a touch of the brochure about it but the fact that you managed to create a coherent story with elements of magical realism, which I also love made this one of my favourite stories I've read for this event so far.
I think some of the paragraphs were a bit too long and there are some grammatical errors but we all make those and it did not in anyway take anything from my enjoyment of this piece. It was wonderful.
