Minor nitpick: “your highness” is for princes and princesses. “Your majesty” is what you call a reigning monarch. A mistake you’d expect from someone living in a republic, but as a Japanese it’s unlikely Sakuta would get that wrong

I think your writing style has a lot of intention and symbolising that’s easy to read but not totally in your face so the reader doesn’t feel talked down to. When reading your writing I always feel like I’ve got some grasp on where it’s going but not so much so that it feels totally predictable and boring

I had been wondering about this myself. Between no mentions of parents ever being made and the fact that people forget about Aikami’s existence so quickly, the uncomfortable question of “did he grow up alone” has come to me more than once. God to see it’s finally getting addressed.

Between Aikami crushing hard on all three of them and the fact that they literally share one heart I’m starting to get the feeling you’re going for the harem ending, which for once I’d actually be happy with because I really like all three of these girls and them basically being three in body and mind but one in soul means it’d actually make a decent amount of sense

Lana saying "we're the reason he has no thread" got me wondering if that should be taken more literally. Perhaps his original fate was always to meet the Fates like this, and because of his proximity to them he was never tied down by the same flow of fate as everyone else. Or in other words, he gained freedom from fate by falling in love with Fate.

Probably not what you were going for but I thought it was interesting train of thought

No problem, I’ve been enjoying my the story a lot so far but I figured it didn’t help either of us if I just unambiguously praised it without pointing out flaws and issues where I see them.

Honestly I think this whole mini-arc is good character stuff that just feels like it’s at the wrong place in the story. If this was earlier when Aikami was still getting to know the girls I think it would have made quite a lot more sense. (The stuff with the creepy kid from Aikami’s class, obviously them just moving into his apartment would seem a little off if it was earlier in the story lol()

I’ll be honest, I think the timing of the “wait, they actually care about me?” bit doesn’t make a lot of sense. I get that Aikami has a lot of self doubt and still sees the girls simply as goddesses and not people, but when you consider moments like Chloe getting sad when suggests that they’re not friends I find it very hard to believe he still thinks they see him as a subject of study and don’t actually care about him as a person

Scary Chloe is cute tho.

A lot of the stories in the contest are going the more slowburn route with romance, so it’s a nice change to have some fluff with an already established couple. They’re a lot of fun together

I definitely think Alice could have worked here, but I think Lana was the better for choice for one main reason.

Alice can be actively malicious, she would go out of her way to offend simply because that’s who she is.

Lana just doesn’t care. Her put down is extra brutal because it doesn’t show malice but complete lack of regard. Alice might revel in making them squirm, but Lana doesn’t even feel like giving them the time of day unless they actively bother he

Lana thus far has probably been my least favourite of the girls (as in she’s 8/10 instead of 9 or 10, not that I dislike her in any capacity) but I really like moments like this. When her blunt nature comes out in full force, especially against someone who really deserves it, it’s super fun and satisfying to read

Noticed more grammar and spelling mistakes in this one than usual. Notably Mai apparently pointing her sword at herself and Rio’s “meating.”

A bit of repetitive wording too. For example, both the sixth and seventh paragraph end with something along the lines of “there are limits,” which makes it feel like nothing new is really being said.

The content of the chapter is good, but I’d recommend more thoroughly combing through for errors in future because they can be a tad jarring
