I like that Raena seems like the sort of person to have neutral karma, not because she doesn’t do anything of note, but because her actions are so extreme both ways that it cancels out.

On one hand, deliberately grooming her adoptive sister to be entirely emotionally dependent on her too, in her own words, “keep her as a puppy.”

On the other, going out of her way to prevent a horrific crime and bring the criminal to justice even when it comes at great personal risk.

She’s like a pure chaotic neutral. It doesn’t matter if something is good or evil, it just has to be her in control

Honestly, “villainess tried to change her fate, accidentally makes heroine gay” is one of my favourite tropes in anime and this is seeming like a great setup for it so far. Raena is still obviously vindictive and calculating, but I can already see how this relationship is set up to develop. Excited to see where you take it
