Yes I know the story is pretty confusing at some terms and I had some hardships trying to find a way to explain the ending. But in fact, the girl isn't a human and she is the death angel just like how the girl in the original story a demon.
The protagonist actually died under the messils shots but out of mercy, the angel made him see that he went to heaven with the person he loves the most willingly, she kept convincing him about dying because she knows he won't survive and his fate is sealed but to accept it is less painful than die against your wish. That was the main idea I wanted to conclude
And with honesty, a part of it was based on the real life events as an assurance for myself that those kids dying everyday are guided by angels with no pain.
