I reread this chapter a while ago and actually had the same thoughts haunting the back of my mind lol. I realized I should've included the details that Radio could've taken advantage of the situation and gotten himself free from his collar with the kidnappers' help, which would thus put more weight on his choices. You're also right about the comparison with Radio and his creator, and I should've clarified that it was simply to compare their actions/behavior, not their backgrounds
Ultimately, I just wanted to continue to show that Radio is in fact a defect confused in making the right decisions unlike a proper android with this chapter lol
