It's interesting to see bees integrated into this world like miko with actual connections to the spiritual and divine, but done so organically with real world traditions. I've always heard the phrase "telling the bees" but never really stopped to think that there was lore behind its origin. Had to look it up myself.

There were definitely little hints throughout the story that contributed to the scifi-ish explanation, some more obvious that others. A scenario like this isn't too farfetched even in the near future as a lot of the basic research for it already exists.

Walker pretty much covered the points that I was thinking of. Personally, I think dropping the romance would make it a stronger story in general (contest aside ofc). This has been a story that's shooting for finding Daichi's sister from the get go and giving a detailed gamelike world, rather than establishing any sort of romance, and I think it's hard to stray from that main point with making it feel like filler of sorts. To me, the volume one felt like it ended around when Pearl's Tear was established, while the romance stuff afterward became a sort of omake chapters.

All in all. Would continue Domino's Pizza. Cheers!
