Wonderfully written short story with a satisfying conclusion.
There thematic density is incredibly high, and at times the details slowed the narrative but otherwise, a gripping read.

Firstly, your prose quality makes me jealous. The imagery is rich, to the point where it becomes occasionally difficult to follow. The narrative is wildly imaginative, creating mythos that inspires awe and horror in equal measure.

If there's a slight complaint, it's that the dialogue feels largely expository. But apart from that, this was a gripping and fascinating experience.

I appreciate the mythism surrounding the Gift. This chapter definitely pushes the narrative more.

While I understand the appeal of the indulgent approach, I personally feel the first two chapter could be rolled into one for a tighter story. Nonetheless, this was an easy and interesting read.

Firstly, well written, two words I don't use a lot on web novels.

Despite the absence of narrative progress, I shot through it really quickly. I guess its the character dynamics that sustained my interest.

One thing I will note, however, is I feel the absence of a hook. In fact, for an opening chapter, it was strangely conclusive.

Crisp dialogue that reads like genuine conversation, though sometimes I do feel it's slowing the story down. If the character finds it repetitive, then so will I.
Also, I don't think I've ever read so much dialogue in one chapter.
