Your comment means so much, thank you 😭 One of the things I knew I had to touch on was the ugly reality in the town. It hurt a lot to write as well, but I felt it was important context to understand Nia and the situation that shaped her.

On another note, I love how awkwardly real the dialogue is. You really took advantage of the contest prompt here.
(On another nother note, I also really like Hachi's technical knowledge behind each drink that comes in. It really helps establish his character indirectly through the care and passion he puts into each cup)
Hachi and Clara balance each out so well despite only being two chapters in. I'm a bit curious though as to why Hachi's thoughts are so cynical though
