Literally agree with the other comment 100%, I FELT with Elisabeth, I let out small tears of happiness at the sight of the pure friendship in its fullest form between Marie and Elisabeth, and I got so excited to see Finley FINALLY make a move, and with the warnings ive recieved for the next chapters I dread what I expect. This proves to me how amazing the writing is. I feel like im watching a movie unfold in real time before my eyes, despite only really reading.

It feels like the king has more or less had a change of heart, have it be due too him being proven insanely wrong about all his beliefs, or maybe because he too had been using magic. I really like how he went from very stern and almost laughably evil to kinda... soft? Like whoa turns out he does have a heart huh

God, just reading this fills up the air with so much tension, I love the idea of the massive dire wolf just sitting there, wagging his tail right as diana and marie enter, and most importantly i love the way, that the lore is given out here. Like at this point most people probably had an idea of whats going to happen or be the case (or at least i did) but I love that Diana just waltzes in like its nobodies business

As other people already stated, it truly does speak worlds that Elisabeth is just ensnared in listening to him, even worrying about his relations and most importantly being a good person and setting stuff straight, even though she wasnt supposed to hear it. Elisabeth is such a well written, goodhearted and nice character, and her love and adoration for finley, no matter the circumstances truly does show the passion put into their characters.

First of all, ouch. Yet again reading this hits me like a punch to the gut, and I will probably always get that same feeling each time I read this chapter, ngl.
I truly adore the character development, and how over the past couple chapters, the realization came to us, the readers, before it came to her.

The History books will call the two really close friends..... No but fr, this is probably one of my favorite ways to digest lore, in a way that doesnt feel shoved down my throat, it makes sense, almost immediately. Elisabeth hardly has to spell it out and Im already piecing together how this will affect the story
