The ending was absolutely the worst chapter of all, and it was wayyyy too rushed. Unfortunately, I had run out of time (despite staying up all night to complete!) and I had to just put it down in a hurry and upload it in its raw form, and it's been haunting me since then.💦 I'm definitely going to rewrite it when I get the chance, after the judging process is complete, because I'm completely dissatisfied with it. It's the opposite of the relaxed-but-exciting atmosphere I intended for this story, and rather anticlimactic. Seriously, I'm NOT happy.

The ending was planned all along, all these things, but it's the way I executed it (in both senses 😱) that messed it up. If I had more time and words, I'd make it a few hundred words longer, or split it into two (with one action chapter and one reflective-goodbyes-and-going-to-Earth chapter). I'd then have the space to smooth out the transitions between the changing scenes to make them exciting rather than abrupt, and giving them the adequate space and spotlight needed. It would have been really fun – no, it WILL be, because I'm going to edit and redo it when I get the chance. Only then will I have peace LOL. 💗

About the mushroom arc where Grace was forced to go the Mainland, haha, that was meant to be annoyingly discomforting, so no worries there 😆
