Favourite character? Oops. 💦 Don't mean to hurt any sentiments, sorry 🙇‍♀️ but to me personally, a protaganist must be likeable and have some strong redeeming features to balance out their flaws. Iori... you said it yourself, vulgar is her middle name – in the way she speaks, dresses, acts... she's a little cocky and doesn't seem that smart either... and now her unhinged and cruel past. Her only redeeming points so far are that she plays chess at all, brought the shy Utami with her who wouldn't have dared to otherwise, and her troubled home environment. Still, it isn't enough to make me like her, or even not hate her. 💦 Let's see if this changes later on! 😍

The game's getting a little demented. Iori is a murderer? Never liked her, but now she's totally gone down in my list. Good win though. I think this book is great for people studying chess! ^_^

One thing, about the langauge.... I personally felt that it was rather raw and impolite... maybe it could be phrased better? The dialogues especially... it's a novel after all. Or maybe it's just me.

Anyway, Gyro is gonna be mad, hehe.
