Outside of the beginning and ending of the story that I told you about, the rest of it was simply whatever came to mind on the day I published each chapter. Some days, I would go out and walk for hours, trying to figure out where the story would go next, then come back and finish writing and publishing it at around 4 a.m. every day.

When I decided to add Kael's story, the challenge of managing word count for multiple story arcs came on top of everything else. So when you brought formatting up, I couldn't help but wish I hadn't hesitated so much about joining the competition. If I'd decided earlier, I might've had more time to reread everything and give it those final touches.

If by any chance I make it to the final list, I'll wait before making any edits. But if not, I plan to go back and polish and make it look more beautiful and maybe add a longer version of the epilogue or even add the deleted parts of Earthside chapters.

Right now, though, both my thesis supervisor and advisor are mad at me for not working on and finishing my thesis, so I'm kind of on double duty for that. 😅

For Zephyr, when I was writing her, I based her on an anxious attachment style. She had never been hurt by being too attached to someone who didn’t give back what she gave. In the beginning of the story, it was shown how deeply she was attached to Kael, and that became the first time she was hurt by her own attachment style. Then Kazuki came along, and slowly she grew attached to him as well, to the point of not letting him go.

In the real world, if someone gave all that love but didn’t receive it back or worse, got hurt, they would often develop an avoidant style instead, keeping people away so they wouldn’t get attached again, as a way to protect themselves
