Hey, glad the tragic nature of the story worked. I find horror to be at its most effective when it forces us to feel the emotional toll of the awful situations it puts its protagonists into rather than overdoing the fear of physical pain or what have you.
I'm happy her growth was noticeable with so few words. We definitely tap into our hidden animal instincts for survival and make some surprisingly smart decisions in situations like that. I also hope it makes sense how the drugs wore off so fast. She not only got drugged with cheap crap, but was also completely overloaded with adrenaline. She was totally cornered, saw her only chance, and took it.
The ending is way simpler than it looks 😉 I'll say that much.
There's more stuff coming which isn't cyberpunk. I won't write continue Mina's story, but I will likely return to this same setting within a few months' time. Thanks again. 🥰
