Nice to meet you! I'm Tochika, a writer from Japan.
I write my stories in Japanese and use ChatGPT for translation and illustrations.
I’m fascinated by Japanese folklore—especially yokai (supernatural beings), ghosts, and other mysterious presences known as kaii.
They often appear in my stories, and I sometimes add short notes to make them easier to understand.
Most of my works are gentle, slice-of-life tales set around haunted or abandoned places—showing quiet, heartwarming moments between kind and sometimes ghostly characters.
Some short stories take a different tone—mysterious, unsettling, or emotionally strange.
I mark those clearly in the tags or description.
I update every Tuesday and Friday at 8 PM (PST/PDT).
If you enjoy calm supernatural stories with a Japanese touch, I hope you’ll find something to love here.
Thank you for reading!

Deep in the forest stands a mysterious abandoned house. There, people burdened with pasts and circumstances share the same time together. A chance encounter, and quiet exchanges. In a life lived alongside supernatural beings, hearts slowly draw closer. This is a gentle and mysterious tale o...
How long have I been here? I repeat the same unanswered question again today. The people of the human village who warmly welcomed me, though I was not human. There was certainly a friendship that transcended race. One day, as I was reminiscing about those happy days, it came without war...
At a haunted spot where supernatural beings gather, the ghosts Shinobu and Sayuri meet a small, white, fluffy presence. Unable to leave the still-young stray on its own, the two decide to live together with it. Like clouds, they lean close, play, and laugh together day after day—. But joyful...
Laughing as she said, “I got tickets for a resort hotel,” Yuka invited her along, and Misaki set out on the trip, reluctant though she was. A seaside hotel, white sand beaches, a calm restaurant—. A little luxurious, slightly out of place, and yet, for some reason, time passed in a way that wou...
“Would you go out with me?” “Huh? What makes you think you’d get an OK?” The boy’s confession doesn’t reach the girl’s heart. Even so, he keeps confessing. Today, next month, and the month after that— Where will the two, whose relationship is slowly changing, end up?
The person I like most. One day, driven by nothing but impulse, I ended up calling her out behind the gym. I worked up my courage and confessed, so why did it turn out like that…? I said, “I like you!”—so why would you ask something like that? I said, “I do too.”—so why won’t you take it ...
That is one of the traditions passed down among supernatural beings— “The Shu of legend.” A mysterious weapon that reveals itself only before a mighty martial artist. Whoever takes it in hand becomes invincible. It was sealed away as a symbol of conflict. It drove its wielder into madness, ...
A girl smiling and flashing a peace sign. A girl beside her, trembling in fear. All around them, countless paranormal phenomena. It was an excessively embellished paranormal photograph. Everyone was looking. However, almost no one could see “a certain truth.” And the photograph— woul...
In the forest, a sweet smell suddenly drifted through the air. As if guided by that scent, Sayuri stepped forward. The monk who gave her a mysterious necklace, and the girl in the white dress she encountered. She was sure her name had been called, yet the words would not come out properly....
When I was a child, I could find no joy in eating, and because of my poverty, I was also made a target of bullying. The lunchboxes I ate as if hiding were always bland and lonely. But a chance encounter changed my life completely. An encounter with the one and only best friend who stood by m...
