I think they genuinely had fun at the sport festival, even if their version of fun is overanalyzing the simple games lol.
Bingo! You are right. the sponsor saw Kousuke's capacity for violence and used him as the organization's sweeper.
I imagined a shounen ending where they fight against the organization (and win) but it was too optimistic and off-genre so I scrapped it
fun father-son bonding activities: getting rid of murder evidence!!!
wtf Nato 😭seems like I need to write for you a Kousuke/Yuuto's mom spin-off. Anyways, it is the spicy curry taste of genuine connection compared to the sweet omurice of performance.

Ngl, the short chapter amount tricked my brain, as big numbers scared me lol. beside it was a smooth read! and uh oh, R-rated content, 🫣 looking forward to it!
oops. my goldfish brain forgot it. now I gotta go back and reread 🫣
I finished it yay! my first complete contest reading lol. the ending is bittersweet, as expected. reminded me of EoE where the all the consiuness become one and you lose your individuality. yet it is also a choice, Rei decides to merge like her parents decided to keep her before. idk, it is emotinal fulfill ending, yet there are a lot of things that can be explored and expanded. Hit me up if you updated this story!
so Bao is a tree, I should have known that lol. and it is sad to know that Rei still somewhat clings to her “family”. I meant it is hard to deny those close to you for 16 years. and random thought, Rei “extraction” make me think of a Mandrake, which screams when you pull the root out. I imagined they reach for the tree root and cut Rei out.
I meant...my guess last chapter was half right, isn't it lol. Rei is draining life force from other trees instead...I wonder what they do with the power she drained. something bad maybe. and Zack was cold, or more like he doesn't want to get attached?
the one below huh? the huge twist this chapter makes me think about the sakura tree tales. that under the tree is a corpse that nourish it. and that corpse might be a real Rei.
I did some searching, it is the Southern Cassowary, an opportunistic carnivore (smol dinosaur). def can give lions a fight to remember. I love African ecosystem, but Australia is filled of prehistoric monsters lol.
interesting. as lions can easily outmatch dingoes but probably can't survive the venomous ecosystem. nature finds a way. imagine the big invasive species killed by spiders lol.
no kids her age…drop of area…sounds like an apocalypse scenario. and Rei is yearning for them tree…

this is inspired by “the lighthouse” (yeh the Robert Pattinson one). and the Junji Ito vibe. Mix them up and make it PG.
