This was a very cute story. You setup some pretty high expectations with your first novel, but you definitely managed to meet them with this entry.

Princess Mochi is Gonna Bite the Demon Lord!

Chapter:51

Finally got around to finishing reading the rest of this, can absolutely see why it was the most consistently popular Tragic Hero entry, was definitely the best Tragic Hero one I've read.

Also, exactly 80,000 words, you really used every last one, huh lol? You make me wish I had added two more words in my entry somewhere purely to hit that nice clean 80,000 haha.

Unrelated to the quality of the writing but I think of all the novels this was probably first or second for which had the cover art that felt the most to me like an actual light novel cover.

Thanks haha, I appreciate it! Trying to give her a fun / sweet internal voice was definitely one of my top priorities for the novel.

The Little Witch Who Loves Slimes Just A Little Too Much

Yeah, I've been surprised by how many competitive entries there are, if I recall there's about 280 or so that were finished on time, and from what I've read so far at least 10% of those are all very viable contenders, very curious to see who makes it through!

Witch’s First Espionage Mission in 200 Years

This was very charming. Also, on an unrelated note, just wanted to say your art style is great. Loved both covers for this book, plus on multiple occasions I've seen other authors with good art for their novel and when I went to check out who did it was you lol, was what spurred me to read this haha.

The Sleepy Mage who was Forced to Travel

Chapter:41

It's a close race, but I think this probably had the most fun protagonist of the various epic heroine stories I've read so far or at the very least she has a pretty distinct voice because of the interesting premise forcing her to. Good dynamic with Cain as well. The other characters felt a bit thin, but it's understandable given time / word count limits. Overall, it's a solid contest entry, I'll be curious to see if this makes it to the next round.

Solveig the Great: I Defeated the Demon King, But If I Feel Insufficient I’ll Explode?!

Chapter:42

Very cute ending, great story overall, pretty obvious why this one was so popular, I'd be quite surprised if it doesn't make it to the next round.

Witch’s First Espionage Mission in 200 Years

Chapter:71

This was enjoyable, glad you made it on time! Thought I was pushing it close when I submitted with like an hour left, I swear you had like less than a minute left or something when this was completed lol, was the very last entry to make it. I'll have to check out that Evil Duke one of yours at some point.

Really nice cover art, also wasn't expecting someone to go this direction with the prompt, interesting stuff!

Monster Club

In the close to zero chance this becomes a long running series, I figured there needed to be some sort of proper combat system in place. Started with vampires each getting some sort of unique blood-based ability (not exactly original), then from there decided I should do it with all the other monster clans too. Manipulating Hair for wolves and feathers for harpies were the first things that came to mind.

Love At First Bite - Vampires & Werewolves Just Aren't Meant To Get Along!

Chapter:2

Oct 04, 2026

I've seen title drops in a final chapter but never contest name drops 😎

I feel you on aiming for a much lower word count and somehow ending up tens of thousands of words past that lol, had to do the same kind of abridging you did to make it under which is never fun to have to do, but ultimately in your case I don't think it had any major detraction on the story, this is still clearly one of the stronger contenders for epic heroine, would not be surprised at all to see this make it to the next round, nice work 👍

Actually, gonna remove it from the synopsis, I don't think it's necessary to convey what I needed to 👍
