Figured it'd be mildly interesting to have an antagonist that is just straight up a hero who's a genuinely good guy with sensible motivations, just has a different approach than Nora to the same end goal and is as stubbornly set in his ways as she is.

Interestingly Arthur's end up being a lot more sympathetic of a character than I initially planned (granted the plan has always been to have him be a good guy). Also there's still one chapter left (unless I split it into two) that'll touch on his backstory.

I probably should go back and add a couple lines giving some excuse or why they didn't try to drag it outside or flee after things went south. Mentally the way I see it is just it's not gonna bother chasing them outside, and them not retreating when it turned out they were in over their heads was them getting wrapped up in the moment of the fight it just not crossing their minds (do have a line touching on this next chapter).

People on here generally don't take well to advertising in their comment sections, there's a Honeyfeed Discord server with an artist for hire section where you can offer your services there.

I personally am not looking to commission an artist right now and it's unlikely any other contest entrants are either as the deadline for the contest is less than a week away which is very little time to complete a piece of art for a contest entry.

Three chapters a day, one more small arc Tuesday then it's the tournament arc the next three days after that but that's already done so it gives me five days to finish giving a bunch of other people their feedback and then refine anything I still need to on my own novel then figure out how to trim almost 10K words rip (capital tour, testing arc, and certain classes definitely getting condensed), fingers crossed that it's enough time to finish everything lol.

Yeah, I still gotta go back and improve the bullies in the first arc more, it's kind of hard though as I have less flexibility there than I do in this arc, and frankly even Petra's crew I'm pretty constricted by word count. They'd get fleshed out way more in future novels if I were given the chance, they're not meant to be one and done characters.

Also, ngl there's more story left than you think. Tournament Arc is already fully completed and would put me at 80K if I were to release it now, but I've still got a few chapters left before I do. Gonna have to go back and trim over 5K words worth of material rip.
