After re-reading I got a newfound appreciation for the story and the characters. If there was one thing I wanted more of was the interactions between Robert and Takuya as children(or even expand into their awkward teenage years) to sorta live in their positions under the Maestro and feel the tensions of their romance and jealousies. I'd also think the moment of separation when Takuya leaves to America(or keep it a mystery) and how Robert felt with the news would've been something delicious to hold on to for when they do meet at the funeral. Lovely story, just wish it were more fleshed out somehow without it needing to be a multi-chapter story.
Only issue while reading were some descriptions/metaphors/etc were sometimes mouthfuls that i think could be more concise to free up some space for more story.
