Thank you! I'm having a lot of fun writing this, so I'm really glad you had fun reading it!
I must be super lucky to receive such detailed and helpful feedback! I'll definitely make sure to focus on the narrative voice more and try to revamp that exposition. I'll also be a lot more careful with the voices. I had typed out how most of the characters speak in the planning phase, but thanks to you, I'm realizing that I totally didn't consistently follow through on my own notes.;;
As for a zanier witch cafe, it's a very fair point. I didn't want to stray too far from how mundane real witchcraft tends to be. At the same time, I've already strayed a little and real witchcraft really is so mundane that if I don't do something a little fantastical then it just ends up being a typical cafe. ouo;; So thanks for bringing that up as well. I already have my chapters outlined where only a few odd shenanigans go down, but I still have room to spice it up a little. :U
