I'm pretty sure this has been flying under the radar because it has no cover, but damn this is good. Your writing style is concrete - no info dumping, easy to read, chapter length is excellent, your characters are memorable and fun, too. I can't believe this is your first novel, to be honest. This is very polished. Definitely a library add! Can't wait to see what happens!
Also in my mind, Laif has long hair to cover himself. Not relevant, just a thought as I read this.
