Sent away to spend the summer with her grandma in the mountains of Taiwan, Yi-yun expects nothing but silence and boredom.

But as her grandma begins to tell the story of her youth during wartime, Yi-yun uncovers a hidden past: a forbidden love shaped by war, duty, and waiting.
