Donut my friend here with a review! A mini review, but one with great points 😤
First of all I feel like everything you said matches perfectly with a few worries I had, as well as my overall picture of Soul Nemesis thus far!
It being similar to Jujutsu Kaisen I have to admit, was something that I thought at first but I am also a firm believer of the principle “take a few ideas and make them your own” 🤝 Instead of being put off by the similarities I decided to create parts that set it apart and give it my own touch (teaser for volume 2, wink wink). Aaaaand the filler chapters okay I am guilty 😭 But in all honesty I’m merely projecting what I like to read when I’m writing stuff. And I feel like some “bonding” chapters where the audience learns of the world and the setting through small arcs is something I find very charming. Also, not to mention how it all ties together in the end, with how these little adventures may just be able to pull Eiji outside of Yomi 😉
Honestly I was rather anxious to see if people would like this story, since the first volume lacks in a concrete plot but since no one complained I am very confident in the fact volume 2 will answer a lot of questions, introduce many new elements and characters as well as finally progress the plot. I know I’ve said this in every comment but the things I have planned are gonna be… lit 🔥 Okay now I’m just boasting 💀
