Figured I should leave a comment on this chapter.
Firstly, for the 3-4 people who read this already, I wasn't satisfied with how I wrote things last night, so this morning I decided to go back and cut the clunky exposition to work on introducing my side cast some more. So, the entire second half of the chapter has been rewritten!
Secondly, I figured I should just explain some of the wordplay going on with the characters' names vs. their screen names. I'll be doing this a lot going forward, but I didn't want to clutter the actual text of the chapter with author's notes and explanations. So, in the interest of explaining some of my bilingual nonsense, here's the cliffnotes version!
Jun's given name is written with the kanji for "Pure," hence the "Pure" in his name.
Hiroshi named himself "Dairoku," which Keiichi compares to Oda Nobunaga, who allegedly styled himself as the "Demon King of the Sixth Heaven," or "dairokuten-maō," which is a title traditionally belonging to the devil figure in Buddhist theology. Basically, he's just an edgelord, don't worry about him too much.
As for Kei's own username, the "Hakuryuu" part means "White Dragon," which is fairly self-explanatory. K1, on the other hand, is a pun on his given name of Keiichi, since the number one is "ichi" in Japanese. Basically, it's just a shorthand for his actual name.
As for the two SPKs, Dain and Rozas, their names weren't important enough to have any meaning. I just picked them because they sounded cool. 😅
