I am a big fan of time skips, so I couldn't help but skip right to their graudation, which is also easier to talk about how the school changed and where the characters ended up.
(Ares' father had his own redemption arc off-screen. 😌)
I think this message truly is wonderful, not because I wrote it, but because I witnessed it around me so many times. Fantasia experiencing real happiness and sharing it with everybody else has changed her surroundings for the better too, especially with the school that entered the new era. Awww, did you really say that the message transcends the limits of the novel? I am not sure how exactly you meant it but it made me happy!
As I probably said at least once before, I liked the idea that such a ridiculous sounding dream that Ravel had - making the whole world accept Fantasia, had such a simple solution that only he could have found. And as you say, I knew exactly where I was going and although some chapters felt filler-ish, they were necessary to write because the characters had to work towards the final goal.
But that being said, I totally agree with you regarding the pacing and editing. Although, many people said the Beauty Contest arc was the best, I do feel like I could have cut it shorter. Don't know how exactly, but with more time I would certainly make it work. And the same goes with the Summer Horizons arc, the gaming club and hiking could also be shorter, but yeah... If I get chosen for the manga adaptation, I'll make sure to do something about it hahaha xP
But I would love to see many people read till the end as well, but that's not what's gonna happen since it's so long T.T Who wants to invest their time into 46 chapters. xD

I really hope that after finishing this, you do not regret all the time you spent reading it and that you enjoyed both the ride and the conclusion and that it was satisfying. Because yes, I AM very happy with this work and how it turned out!
