You ever have a moment while writing where you insert an inside joke knowing that nobody else is going to get it? That's what this basically is. There's an old Runescape machinima from like 2008 where a character, in reference to the crimes committed by a pair of murderers, ended every sentence with "Ha ha. Boys will be boys." in this ominous drawl. I haven't seen that video in years, but I still remember it distinctly, so into the story it goes.
