Thanks for coming back and reading until the end, I really appreciate it. Something I've come to realize while writing is that it takes me a few chapters to really get a feel for the mood of a new story and its characters, so with the benefit of hindsight, I really should've combed through and edited the first third of the chapters to better match the rest of the story. But it's been a good lesson to learn, even if I couldn't apply it to this novel.
