I had wanted to make Danny a bit more confident and unaware at first, but I found as I wrote him that he just turned out to be a sweet and conscientious kid! All he wants to do is understand and make himself useful, and he's got all the curiosity he needs to adjust well in his new environment.
I'm not sure how much any of that will help him when it comes to dealing with Loali's determination, though...🤔
