I've saved up for a binge, this is gonna be real nice.
Vivian isn't smart for nothing, she's just never played a minmaxer's game before so she had no way of understanding why it would be inefficient to balance herself. Sometimes other people forget, but intelligent people aren't automatically, *universally* intelligent, but the fact that she understood what she was doing wrong then it was hinted to her makes perfect sense for her type of character.
