I've grown pretty attached to writing fantasy worlds and creatures over the last few years, some more dangerous or harsh than others, so its nice writing a pure fantasy realm where I can just explore some positive relationships for once with kindly inhuman beings. Hey, if you're not allowed to get in good with the law, you've got no choice but to turn to the underground. Why not buddy up with some thieves in a mutual exchange to get what you need? I mean, there's the risk that they'll turn on you the moment they get what they want, being thieves and all, but depending on what world you've stumbled in to maybe most of em' are thieves-with-a-heart-of-gold.
