I had a huge internal debate about changing the ending xD But I decided to stick with it as the story would lose all its meaning otherwise. This chapter is the one I was most conflicted about. I could easily have made it lighter, but I felt that would undermine Ru’s reason to be holed up in the first place, the need to create fake stories, and why he ended up trapped in them. It had to be a combination of very painful experiences! So I chose to sacrifice the penultimate chapter and turn it around on the last :3
