I wanted Yada/Momo to show her immense affection for Ru, so I’m very proud of how she turned out! :3 And also the love they share! I wanted to relay that they understand each other exceptionally well because they've been together for a long time, but not in an exaggerated way, like the sweet romance of a long-lasting couple.
And yeah, I couldn’t let this story end without the inevitable wall of “No!” xD
I’m thrilled because your interpretation of the essence of Baba is precisely what I wanted to convey at first (and still is the most essential meaning) :D I wanted to leave no doubt about that… but then I couldn’t, his character grew too much xD So, that was the reason why I decided to write an ambiguous ending. Although it may open an even worse scenario, and besides your interpretation, I could also imagine that Baba might actually be real, that he was there all along, and because he had a different name, Momo didn’t understand when he mentioned him… Or they might even be meeting now for the first time! x)
Of course I love your fan art!!! It was incredibly sweet of you and always melted my heart each time I saw it on the novel’s page when writing and posting new chapters!! :3 I can’t imagine anything else capturing the soul of my story as faithfully as that < 3
