It strikes me that this story targets a young adult audience, maybe in junior and high school for relationship advice. Reading this at 27 comes across as a tad cringy, given the protagonist's delusions :) Nonetheless, the advice embedded within is solid from Claire. Just a tip: Avoid asking about what she wants for dinner for preferences in the future!
