Spring,  the season of renewal, a new beginning where new things arrive after the harshness of winter, like little Nagahiro entering Agreste's tearful life with this little sunflower, like a sun, and these few words meant to warm his heart. So why is he crying? Why does his heart clench as he reads them? Is he crying with joy, because at last someone is telling him, or is he crying with sadness, realizing that his own parents never told him?
I understand better now why nobility is something so sensitive for him, it's simply what tore his family apart and set him apart. So beyond the love symbol, I love you also represents the fact that someone somewhere cares about us and looks after us, which is enough to warm the heart and make you happy, as ms Nagahiro said. In the same way as Alice in Wonderland, Agreste escapes from reality to a new idyllic world by living with this girl and her father.  But like wonderland, this world is under threat and will eventually collapse as it did when Nagahiro dies.
Then comes the meeting with young Theresia, where once again a new dimension of writing is introduced: Playwrite. The leaflets she handed out were promotional for her play.  Their dialogue was very enriching, and contrasted well with each other's personalities. In a way, the two complement each other: one with his wisdom, the other with his wit.
More generally, it's an excellent parallel to the memory at the beginning of the chapter. Like Ms Nagahiro, Theresia tells him she loves him. However, there's a difference: the former ( Nagahiro) tells him that she loves him for the sake of making him happy, whereas the latter ( Theresia) says that she loves "the Baron", the person he created, because he makes her happy. So here we have two different people who love the same person, but from two different angles. I don't know how to explain this clearly, but I find it simply remarkable !
However, our MC's heart is still aching , but not for the same reasons as when he was a child: here, he doesn't want to accept that these words make him happy. Why is that? Because he doesn't want to suffer again, or make others suffer like he did in the past.
So, even if he doesn't admit it, he too has already started down a path that has only one way out, and my little finger tells me that fate has already taken care of it c:
I have so much more to say about the willow and sunflower meanings , but I will keep it warm for a little theory I am building ^^ Anyway, it was such a beautiful chapter

Chapter:3

(Before I forgot again ) 2 things I forgot to tell in the previous chapter :
- about the chalk left by children that he uses to write his poems: childhood is usually an allegory of innocence, joy and carefreeness. The fact that he uses this chalk to write his poems propagates this innocence throughout the city, in this climate of conflict and animosity. And it ties in with his goal of generating kindness
- Talking of people moving fast in the city: I can't help thinking that they're actually moving normally, and that this is just a clever way of emphasizing that our mc is still as old as ever ( as old people tend to say that young people are always moving too fast).

For this chapter:
"Try being a rainbow in someone's cloud. "( Maya Angelou) : I do think that's what Agreste in this land of steam is, on the one hand writing his poems in the city and on the other helping those in need. Also, in a way, he's now receiving back all the kindness he showed in his previous life, as evidenced by the bread this rugged man gave him and the many other things the villagers gave him, and that moves me.
The way he helps this man again and again reminds me of the way Shirakawa helped him when he needed it, when he forgot. In this case, the axle always breaking would be like Agreste tirelessly forgetting in his previous life.
With the character of December, we approach "writing" from another angle: make people believe. This contrasts with Agreste's vision: to generate kindness. But in the end, isn't their aim the same? it's just that the way to get there is different, and so is the honesty.
Speaking of our mc, what if he is a Spriggan? As his skin color is similar to the one of the man bickering with Aren, this would explain the indiscreet looks of the locals towards him.
Also, the never-setting sun might symbolize the "endless "day of our reincarnated Agreste, who still can't rest and "know night".
Finally, I can only smile at this gentle parallel between  Earth and Crelle: wars may be fought differently, but they are all born of conflicts of interest, covetousness and legitimization. In a way, isn't our mc a warrior in his own way? Fighting against all this with his chalk and the sweetness of his words?
