Writing for ourselves? Isn't that the best thing of all? To free ourselves from the judgment of others, from the expectation of their validation of a work we hold dear, so that we can appreciate our work as it is and be proud of ourselves. To achieve this, Theresia must surely have suffered a lot in the past, but I'm delighted to see that the passion still burns in her eyes. Quality is better than quantity, so it's better to have a single spectator who understands the real meaning of the piece than a room full of meaningless people. And then... Isn't Agreste the best possible spectator to admire her work? He himself being the person she loves and inspires her work.
Speaking of this play, there are so many ways to approach the story of this Dietrich fighting for the love he eventually lose, tormented by remorse and regret. First of all, it reminded me of Agreste's situation with his parents having turned their backs on him to preserve his life, unable to watch him suffer with them. Then we understand why they might have done so: because saying goodbye to him was unbearable for them, or because they weren't ready to love him. Secondly, this piece can only put into words his story with Nagahiro.
This discussion may be similar to the last one he had with her, who was desperately trying to save their love, to make him stop finding excuses to run away again and again. It was a cry for help. Both Sable and Nagahiro understood that "my heart has always loved you" was meaningless, that the mc didn't understand the heart meaning. Then comes the moment of realization on that battlefield, against the enemy and against his feelings, under that red light. Red like the anger he may feel deep down for words he couldn't say to sable but also because he realizes that he's lying to himself. Finally comes the moment of regret under this blue light, under the melancholy. Ironically, he fought for a love he destroyed, and now he's alone to contemplate it. Comptemplating and realizing how little he'd understood the meaning of the heart, and how his sweet words like " I love you" could have hurt the person he loves. He thought he was doing the right thing, but he'd only made them suffer, and it took losing them for him to realize it... just like Agreste. Like the mechanical eye, this  new life for him , will be the benchmark by which he will understand these mistakes.
If I remember correctly at the beginning of the story, Nagahiro is his guest, so that means he had to leave at some point. But why? Perhaps because of his illness.
Finding someone capable of putting into words what you're feeling is a rare thing, so working with Theresia is the best way for our mc to face up his demons of the past and soothe that pang deep in his heart that hurts so much. In a way, it can be say he's fallen in love with her words, just as he fell in love with Nagahiro's words the first time he met her. And, this, this  is such a beautiful way to fall in love.

The only negative point now is that I can't go to Aethine to watch Theresia's shows T^T

Chapter:4

Aug 06, 2023

Spring,  the season of renewal, a new beginning where new things arrive after the harshness of winter, like little Nagahiro entering Agreste's tearful life with this little sunflower, like a sun, and these few words meant to warm his heart. So why is he crying? Why does his heart clench as he reads them? Is he crying with joy, because at last someone is telling him, or is he crying with sadness, realizing that his own parents never told him?
I understand better now why nobility is something so sensitive for him, it's simply what tore his family apart and set him apart. So beyond the love symbol, I love you also represents the fact that someone somewhere cares about us and looks after us, which is enough to warm the heart and make you happy, as ms Nagahiro said. In the same way as Alice in Wonderland, Agreste escapes from reality to a new idyllic world by living with this girl and her father.  But like wonderland, this world is under threat and will eventually collapse as it did when Nagahiro dies.
Then comes the meeting with young Theresia, where once again a new dimension of writing is introduced: Playwrite. The leaflets she handed out were promotional for her play.  Their dialogue was very enriching, and contrasted well with each other's personalities. In a way, the two complement each other: one with his wisdom, the other with his wit.
More generally, it's an excellent parallel to the memory at the beginning of the chapter. Like Ms Nagahiro, Theresia tells him she loves him. However, there's a difference: the former ( Nagahiro) tells him that she loves him for the sake of making him happy, whereas the latter ( Theresia) says that she loves "the Baron", the person he created, because he makes her happy. So here we have two different people who love the same person, but from two different angles. I don't know how to explain this clearly, but I find it simply remarkable !
However, our MC's heart is still aching , but not for the same reasons as when he was a child: here, he doesn't want to accept that these words make him happy. Why is that? Because he doesn't want to suffer again, or make others suffer like he did in the past.
So, even if he doesn't admit it, he too has already started down a path that has only one way out, and my little finger tells me that fate has already taken care of it c:
I have so much more to say about the willow and sunflower meanings , but I will keep it warm for a little theory I am building ^^ Anyway, it was such a beautiful chapter

Chapter:3

(Before I forgot again ) 2 things I forgot to tell in the previous chapter :
- about the chalk left by children that he uses to write his poems: childhood is usually an allegory of innocence, joy and carefreeness. The fact that he uses this chalk to write his poems propagates this innocence throughout the city, in this climate of conflict and animosity. And it ties in with his goal of generating kindness
- Talking of people moving fast in the city: I can't help thinking that they're actually moving normally, and that this is just a clever way of emphasizing that our mc is still as old as ever ( as old people tend to say that young people are always moving too fast).

For this chapter:
"Try being a rainbow in someone's cloud. "( Maya Angelou) : I do think that's what Agreste in this land of steam is, on the one hand writing his poems in the city and on the other helping those in need. Also, in a way, he's now receiving back all the kindness he showed in his previous life, as evidenced by the bread this rugged man gave him and the many other things the villagers gave him, and that moves me.
The way he helps this man again and again reminds me of the way Shirakawa helped him when he needed it, when he forgot. In this case, the axle always breaking would be like Agreste tirelessly forgetting in his previous life.
With the character of December, we approach "writing" from another angle: make people believe. This contrasts with Agreste's vision: to generate kindness. But in the end, isn't their aim the same? it's just that the way to get there is different, and so is the honesty.
Speaking of our mc, what if he is a Spriggan? As his skin color is similar to the one of the man bickering with Aren, this would explain the indiscreet looks of the locals towards him.
Also, the never-setting sun might symbolize the "endless "day of our reincarnated Agreste, who still can't rest and "know night".
Finally, I can only smile at this gentle parallel between  Earth and Crelle: wars may be fought differently, but they are all born of conflicts of interest, covetousness and legitimization. In a way, isn't our mc a warrior in his own way? Fighting against all this with his chalk and the sweetness of his words?
