Originally, I didn't think so much about the little mermaid (either Disney's or the original), yet later on I saw too many similarities to ignore haha This version won't end tragically, yet I do hope to put enough twists to make it entertaining and engaging :3 I'm having lots of fun creating and developing the plot, so far.
Personally, I enjoy quite a lot Prologues, Preludes, Interludes, Epilogues, and all of the like. To me, it's a way to set the tone and give a very brief introduction of the story. Like a business card. The reason I saw it fitting, to set this first chapter as a Prelude, was because it was not quite into the first action of the main plot just yet, and focused more on the secondary characters instead.
