I'm still interested in this story, but if I may be honest, I couldn't help but feel this chapter contained a lot of filler. I appreciate the supposed intent, an exploration of Alice's school life mixed in with some lore. But I do wonder how much of this content was necessary to be descriptive about to paint this picture, or how much complements the plot by moving it forward. I did think it was nice seeing Alice's interactions as it shows personalities and establishes relationship dynamics, but again, some scenes seemed a bit too stretched out (specifically Alice's conversation with Pippa).
Don't mean to be harsh - as I said, I'm still intrigued by what you have going on here, but I did think this was worth mentioning.
