yep! good for Masaru to slowly start breaking out of putting up with the abuse. bit by bit he’s breaking out of the grip of doing what he’s “supposed to”. and I think you’ll enjoy the next few chapters. we finally get a few legitimately soft, beautiful moments for our two tragic characters.

nice! I was kind of expecting it to shift like this but I wasn’t expecting the mother revelation. great work. I think a few parts could have been fleshed out a little more, and there could have been a little more complexity in the MC to fully relate, but a great story in all. I always struggle with nameless protagonists, it makes it a little harder for me to connect with them, but that’s just personal preference. I enjoyed the uneasiness of the story and the wild swings into violence and body horror. I think that’s the strongest point of the story, not so much traditional dread building, or standard horror, just a sudden explosion of wtf or violence. pretty impressive execution in all considering how quickly you did this. I hope you keep doing more psy horror or standard horror if you get inspiration! well done.
