thank you so much! I’m so happy you enjoyed your time with our dear wounded friends. I loved my time with Izhari and Tomita and cherished their journey. this story is one of two submissions I wrote for the contest, both of which deal with hope and healing. Revolutionary Songstress is about what happens when both of those things are allowed to occur. Salaryman Familiar is about what happens in their absence. Tomita’s suicide. Izhari’s life and existence of grief. the somber brutality of the world. people’s indifference. Mathael’s fall from noble ambitious idealism to tyranny.
