yep! there’s a real, grounded terror, beyond the surreal stuff, in watching someone you care about spiral into oblivion, no matter what you do.

thanks… I think?😭
yep. there’s something very horrifying and tragic in watching someone you care about falling into the abyss, and fearing they won’t make it out no matter what you say or do. for poor Masaru and Sayane, it’s like they just met too late. things maybe could have been different if they’d just dared to speak to one another sooner.
thigh moment!
exactly! there’s an entirely different type of horror in catching a glimpse of kindness and gentleness then watching it fade away.
I loved the smiling moment. it felt very much like a Star Falls moment of gentleness.
yep this is actually based on real stories of things that happen to trafficking victims. it’s horrifying and brutal but in a dark way I love that she had this idea as vengeance and self autonomy. like she’s had so much of herself taken by others already while she’s alive, at least they won’t get anymore when she’s dead.
yep our girl is back, but she is very bad off. it’s been a horrible week for her and she may be breaking as badly as Masaru. for me, she’s another version of an “invisible person” that society tolerates and ignores.
that’s the joy of psy horror. do we or he ever really know?
yep this was very much a partial criticism of certain social norms that are tolerated. not just in Japan but this is definitely a focus on their darker business practices. and yes I loved playing with the idea like is any of this actually happening? like, Masaru feels invisible to the point that he’s literally fading away.
yeeeeep. I imagined he was just too focused on the woman and following the rules to think of it, but yes he should have let it burn down.
Masaru was too focused on the dying woman. but yes that place should burn.
yeah I imagine a lot of other people were less kind than Masaru and probably enjoyed that footage for themselves.
perrrrrrhaps….
OMG haven’t thought about that game in years. I can totally see it.
