yes she is standing up for herself. and this present tense POV is from an alternate version of Sakuya. the spirit from the previous chapter that came to his house at night.
okay, so the spirits within him, his tattoos, they are starting to wake up. so this particular one emerged out of his nightmare to attack him in the real world.
their peaceful time will come for them to be just the love birds they are. but they have to go through struggles first haha.
that was an intense chapter. and the little backstory be had during the fighting was brilliant. I understand why you delayed the main characters from meeting each other in order to set up back story, but I am glad they are finally together in terms of proximity.
