this last chapter hits like a ton of bricks.
im really glad that you showed how the same traumatic event effects people differently (im also a sucker for cyclically structured stories, the fact that the story ends where it began, in brighams apartment).
now for some overall thoughts on the story:
i LOVED the diverse cast of characters, and that they stayed in character for the entirety of the story.
also how their initial silliness is contrasted by heavy themes.
the world building is very interesting even though im not a history buff lol.
the pacing is good and the cliffhangers at the end of every chapter definitely got me hooked.
overall i think that the best part of this work is the characters, their interactions and the way our perception of them changes throughout the story.
although there are some criticisms;
the ending feels a little bit rushed.
i wish that we got a little bit more of an insight into the crew’s dynamic after curros execution.
also i wish you showed more than you told, but i understand that with the contest limitations the story has to move a bit faster.
all in all i really enjoyed reading this and i hope for success in the contest!!
