In her society similar to European culture of middle ages at 14 you was considered adult. Or at least adult enough to accompany your father on military campaign
Will they tell her....difficult question. I don't think they would even agree between themselves who Rina really is. For Selene she is not goddess but Selene is pretty much atheist. Karim probably don't really know. For him Rina is not what he hoped for but if Goddess sent her when they asked it is not his role to question her choices, even if he doesn't understand it. While Uruk...swore to follow her when she arrived so in this eyes this made her a goddess
I guess they will let Aki to decide for herself who Rina is for her
