Thanks so much for the feedback! I'm really glad you like the 'badass respected girl' concept.

You've hit on exactly what I was trying differently this time—a much more stripped-down, dialogue-heavy style, almost like a script. I totally get what you mean about it feeling different from a text-rich novel.

Since I've already drafted the entire story (all 125 chapters!) I can't really go back and change the style now, but this is super helpful feedback. I'll definitely keep it in mind and bring back more of those descriptive paras for the next book.
