It's over... (but maybe not forever?)
Very enjoyable read, a classic anime-style romcom. Other than the slight overuse of the Lafon joke with pastries, it was very entertaining and we even got some solid drama with Iwasaki's backstory.

I'm going to be the devil's advocate and say that he did what he had to. You can argue there were other ways to handle the situation, and I'll argue 95% of people wouldn't have done any better.
I'm all about peace and avoiding violence at all costs, but the moment things get physical you either go all out or you'll be the one who ends up in the hospital. You could even say Kaede made the first big mistake by biting Miyaji which escalated things into a physical confrontation. Either way, the moment Miyaji hit Kaede the only option was to hit him back until he could no longer do anything to harm her.
I'm certain Miyaji wouldn't have held back any punches if he was the one overpowering Iwasaki there.

I have the urge to point out that the Lafon and sweets thing is getting a bit too much at this point. It feels like 9 out of 10 lines related to her are about sweets. Even at the second half of the chapter where we get some of her French side and a conflict probably related to her idol job, it ends again on a food(sweets) note.

Truth be told, the beginning was kinda slow and a bit dense. But then at around chapter 9(the Royal Academy conflict) I started getting hooked and enjoyed every part of this story, from the arguments in Celta Muis to the trek on the Abyss and the final conclusion at the Monastery.
You really nailed the melancholic journey feeling in this story, and even if you say you struggled with making things come together, I think you managed to tie mostly everything in a perfect way, especially with the last few chapters.
I also respect that the final confrontation with the "villain" wasn't an actual fight but instead a calm conversation related to the themes of the story. Besides, the real climax of the story was in chapters 40-41 and oh boy were those touching.
So thank you for writing such a heartfelt story(I finally know why Bubbles calls you Peaksei) and I wish you the best in your future works, whenever they may come.

Once again, congratulations on the win. This was a great read, very cute, interesting and at times emotional.
Only thing I missed was a bit more development on the ending, I wanted a bit more details on the conversation with the parents, the reconciliation with the sister and the new life with Imon. I guess this just means the story was so nice I was left wanting more. Other than that, great job and good luck with whatever you make in the future.
